Using a Fobi Capela ring to increase saciety in a patient who underwent to failure gastric bypass.
We report a patient who underwent gastric bypass surgery by laparoscopy in a different service from us.
The patient complained of little weight loss.
She did not feel satiety and she could eat large amounts of food.
Loss of doctor patient relationship, she decided to seek a second opinion.
We identified that this is a bypass anastomosis wide (3 cm).
We tried unsuccessful attempts and performed injection of methacrylate, alcoholism, diet, nutritional and psychological support.
We indicated a new urgery and preferred to use a ring-type Fobi-Capela.
After the surgery the patient reported increased feeling of satiety, some episodes of vomiting and again showed weight loss.
Therefore we believe " is fundamental in a weight loss any mechanism of gastric restriction.
We call attention to another possible procedure in the therapeutic armamentarium to the bariatric surgeon who faces cases with recurrence of the weight.
