OMG she has such a great sense of humour, thanks for posting this :) I really liked it seeing Maggie do the Dead Parrot

The real minister of Silly Walks (2)

If she's quoting the parrot sketch, does that make her a Python? I would have thought that she was more a viper, to be honest. Something poisonous, anyway.

@pleakhouse I love how a politician who was so against government ownership can, nevertheless, take great joy in gloming on to the product of the BBC. Really, you should expect, if you are to lead a movement to privatize the commanding heights, that you wouldn't watch public television either.

I cannot stand the old bitch, not just because she was an authoritarian cow who crushed the poor under her shoe but she stole others comedy and hard work in order to associate herself with something popular. See Yes Minister too. Whore.

@JanineRobin eating your words yet?

@horsie111 That's presuming it was the real reason and not a pretext. Hard to say if she wasn't just concerned about losing money.
I dunno... a politician who can quote Monty Python isn't all that bad... or is it? I'm not British, so I really wouldn't know. Sorry! :-)

@themontypythonmuseum I'm sympathetic to the argument against the USA's boycotting of Cuba: that it penalises the common people only and those in a privileged position are the last to be affected by it. Likewise I see the merit of Thatcher's view of the boycott of South Africa which would penalise those with the least power - the people the boycott was supposed to help.
