In 1956 Earl Nightingale produced a spoken-word record, "The Strangest Secret", which sold over a million copies, making it the first spoken-word recording to achieve Gold Record status.

Shortly afterwards, he cofounded the Nightingale-Conant corporation with Lloyd Conant. "The Strangest Secret" and, "We become what we think about", are two phrases that have memorialized one of the greatest thinkers and inspirational men of our time - Earl Nightingale.

Today, Earl Nightingale is remembered as the greatest philosopher of his time, and his best selling programs and books continue to sell daily, and inspire new generations around the world to reach their highest potential.

Here are a few of Earl's quotes:

"Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality."

"Wherever there is danger, there lurks opportunity; whenever there is opportunity, there lurks danger. The two are inseparable. They go together."

Okay. Are you ready to learn the Strangest Secret in the World, as taught by Earl Nightingale? Here it is...use it wisely: "We [eventually] become what we think about most of the time."

  • Hi everyone.I recently posted my newest video of affirmations for 'activating the law of attraction,' spoken out loud to inspiring music. It's very powerful and effective. Just sit back and listen, or keep it on in the background, while you do other things. Best regards, - Eric Falcon

  • This is definitely one of the best speeches in history.

  • This works fairly well for adults but no child is born with the knowledge of the universe. Some figure out very young what they want from life, what they need to do to be happy and fulfilled but they must be given the tools to reach that goal.

  • And that is why you will probably never gain the wisdom to be truly successful, unless you change your thinking.

  • i think it is not quite so black and white that circumstances have no effect over a person's life. true it is possible to overcome cirsumstances, sometimes, to become what we dream or wish. but not always. there are many factors to why a person gets to a certain place, but i do agree that the only thing that can get us out of undesirable circumstances is ourselves.

  • no hope

  • @Ganbareg its a reference to the bible that he's referring to so in effect i think he has been saying that this ideal has been around for a long time....

  • It was and is very amazing the first time and I heard and this time!

  • was dong ok till the stipid religious shit came in at the end.

  • It's been my experience that the non-conformists are the first to be persecuted. Otherwise, I think this is a great message.

  • Listening to these words broke my heart. I became so ashamed of myself. Ive been ablet to "avoid mens laws, but there are greater laws." Now, after hearing there words, I find it easy to eat right, exercise regularly, save money, and I have a Plan for the second half of my life. But I have to forgive myself daily for waisting so much time, half my life. "Instead of competing, all you have to do is create."
