The Sea Of Love

The sea of love was born of a promise made one year ago today on new years day 2008. That was the day that I promised my wife that I would take her to Tybee Island, Ga. for her birthday on September the 7th like I did every year. However She and the Lord God had other plans for that day as she died in my arms at 8:10 PM on her birthday.

I have never broken a promise to my wife and somehow I would not this one. Though I could not take her there in body; I could take her there in spirit. Therefore I purchased an unsinkable box and filled it with the treasures of our past 15 years on Tybee...Items that have or carry of no value to anyone but my wife and myself. Items like our first seashell we found together while walking the beach...Items like love letters written on napkins from restaurants around the island... I included a lock of her long blond hair and a lock of mine as well. There are many photos of us together by the sea of OUR LOVE and a bag that contains the the still moist tissues that I used when I shed thousands upon thousand of tears over her death.

My prayer is that this box of our memories will drift forever on the open sea...just like our love will forever be eternal in the eyes of God.
