@Rambotnical I remember a ton of the music from the Halo series, but I also have many of the soundtracks. There were the main themes of each game, and then the rest of it was pretty much just to set a mood. Not bad, just more for background, whereas like you said, older games often had much more distinct themes and melodies.

After three weeks of playing on my 360, it succumbed to RROD (sent back for repairs). As a result, I popped in Super Castlevania 4, and after nearly TWENTY YEARS of owning my Super Nintendo still works, LOL.

Older generations of video games had the musical emphasis on melody. Games nowadays focus on harmony. That's why ANY game up until the ps2ish era have a more memorable soundtrack than almost any game today. Try to hum more than one song from the halo series. It was one of the best selling and most celebrated series of our generation. But I can't remember much of the music....

Gotta say the music from super nintendo games is some of the best tunes i've ever heard

I dont think this game could be remaked. It is so classic, i mean, hell, this game is really epic. Its like everything is made of wood...even the music. I cant describe the
gameplay of this game. If they do a remake, it will be a damn Japanese Show with disgusting colors, colored hairs, crazy combos. Just let this game be the only version ...all alone.

@ithinkismellyou I play alot better with great music, but I do many stupid things so i die alot so I can enjoy the music longer XD I wish modern games had great music like this in the game, like level music. It is almost only movie style music. It is not wrong with that, but I miss the old videogame music..
