Can't you amplify the audio in editing? It looks really amateurish.

I work in television production and trust me, I'd love to take a step back. The equipment we are using now (FLIP) doesnt have a microphone input, it uses the mic directly off the cam. With the noise of the track in the background, being close to the subject is a neccessity. Old 60-minutes-style framing... it's the best we can do right now. We are constantly working to improve our product within our limited budget. Thanks for the advise and for watching our stuff
