The scraps can stay at room temp or in the garage. Once partially broken down, you can add to the compost pile without attracting animals and finish the process. Buying worms is usually unnecessary - just build and manage the compost pile and the worms will show up.

Any sugar will work but molasses is the best choice.

Yes, but adding seaweed, apple cider vinegar and molasses to it to make Garrett Juice is even better.

How much compost and molasses would I need for a 55 gallon barrel? Do I need like 2 gallons of compost and like a qt of molasses to make it effective?

I have a huge garden and want to get some bigger harvests with immediate results next year.

Use a couple of 5 gallon buckets of quality compost and 1 cup of liquid molasses at least. Add a cup of liquid seaweed, a cup of vinegar and a cup liquid fish to make Garrett Juice and have even better results. These are minimum amounts. You could as much as double the compost and go up to 1 quart of the other ingredients in a 55 gallon barrel.

If you fill up a bucket, a day later the chlorine and chromine will dissipate outside under sunlight.

Several times a month even while fruiting. Wash the peppers throughly before eating. Howard doesnt say but Compost Tea is a good bug deterrent as well for fruits/veggies protection.

Sorry I didnt see you earlier. Just checked out the video. Compost tea exponentially increases bacteria/fungi which need air as well as other nutrients like sugars and proteins to really take off. If a handful of compost has 10s of 1000s of organisms, c-tea has millions... and those guys breath. Beneficials (said fungi/bacteria) take air. The more of them, the more air. If you dont have air, anaerobic bacteria is the thing that can multiply. Those are bad pathogens & they stink, So youll know.

why do we need to aerate the water? basically,we just apply the solid compost to the plant, then we add water,so the water will be absorbed by its roots. its just the water which isnt aerated. but why do we need to aerate the water when we want to make the compost tea? whats d difference? pls answer me coz this is emergency. thank u so much.
