Maggie my Bernese Mountain Dog

This is Maggie my Bernese Mountain Dog doing her tricks. (ignore my horrible voice lol) Her tricks are speak, wave, be shy, play dead(but I can't get her tail to stop moving LOL), up, and bow. More tricks she knows but not on the video are shake, high five, pick-a-hand, heel, stay, down, and of course sit. She loves to do her tricks and the treats she gets for doing them. She was about 2 years old in this video. Now she is 4 years old, and I hope there will be many years to come.

Maggie past away on May 7, 2010 just before her 6th birthday. She will be greatly missed by me and my family.

Thank you for your comments. Yeah, there does seem to be a lot of Berners named Maggie. lol Yeah, she is pretty easy to train. I will not be able to get more training time with her anymore because I am a few states away from her. She lives with my parents. I miss her so much!

how do u teach her to be shy and to wave? cause im getting one in 4 weeks and i really want it to learn those things :)

First I taught Maggie to shake, and then I would tell her to shake when I was a few feet from her. When she lefted her paw, I would say the word wave. After a few tries she then pretty much figured it out on her own. Shy was a little harder. First I taught her to play dead. When she was playing dead, I noticed sometimes she would put her paws on her face. So I would say, Are you being shy? After a few times of this, she learned how to be shy. Now I am trying to get her to be shy sitting.

your dog is awesome... my lazy bernese mountaing always lie in the living room or outdoor, and the only tricks she can do is the "eat" "drink" and "be more lazy"... :( but i love she!
