"A Storm Is Comin'" is from Mickey Newbury's "Stories From The Silver Moon Cafe" album, available via the store on Mickey's website ( http://www.mickeynewbury.com ). Kris Kristofferson said, "God, I learned more about songwriting from Mickey than I did any other single human being. To me he was a songbird. He comes out with amazing words and music... I'm sure that I never would have written Bobby McGee, Sunday Morning Coming Down... if I had never known Mickey. He was my hero and still is."
Elegant and beautiful.

Flabbergasting, this music. Jaw-dropping. Mr. Newbury, you are surely missed. Your voice, your idea's and multiple songwriting skills and your genius are quite unmatched. Unique. Like in 'one of the very very very great icons' .... who had to go much too soon. Haunting. Compassionate. Gripping. True. Buy the albums, or the new anthology-box.

Man . . . I don't know why I had never heard of Mickey until last night. So grateful this mans legacy is being curated here and elsewhere. This song and may others I have listened to so far are haunting.
