Process Of Texture Editing - Tails v.2

Well i figure i'd show you the process of making a texture, and in this case its v.2 of tails

he still has a couple things to be edited right which wont be hard, and then i need to fix the land tornado as well but at least you guys get to see 30 minutes of texture making done in a few minutes =D

i might start shoing this process with every texture i make but im still debating on weather to do that or not, anyways

Darkspine Sonic's eyes came out black...but when you zoom in they look white, im not sure what im doing wrong but when i figure it out i'll release that texture...also...his stripes came out pink...not much i can do about that...also, part of his gloves need to be yellow...he's almost done though =D

also, what program are u using to edit the textures? normal paint wouldn't work

i hear you can use a program called GIMP or something like that as an alternative to photoshop. its free to use :3
