  • Is this the OpenSUSE 11.0 PUBLIC RELEASE?

    or Beta?

The widgets panel seems black in colour in Novell's documentation

  • Yup, it's the Public Release. :-)

  • I'm about to install openSUSE on my home machine in a couple of days, looks fantastic, especially the widgets. Are the widgets only available if you're using KDE 4.0?

I've previously used Mandrake (now Mandriva) and Ubuntu, and briefly SuSE Linux 9, so I'm no beginner to Linux systems. Besides, I want to purge my soul of this dreadful Windows Vista Home Premium.

  • hi all, i am new to linux and OpenSUSE 11 is my first linux ... i really love it, it looks so pretty and much faster than vista ... thank you OpenSUSE 11

  • cool.....

  • great! what about english???

  • I'm really hoping for Slitaz. It isn't that stable and I can't get on wireles internet but, I hop things will get beter

  • Ubuntu was the first distro I used. I have tried SEVERAL distros and my top 3 are: 1) Granular, 2) Zenwal, and 3) Fedora. If you are like me and want a stable and fast distro, these are the ones. I guess Slackware must be nice too, but Zenwalk is Slack-based and lighter.
