Anime director Kitakubo Hiroyuki heard that Studio 4°C is producing a full CGI anime of Berserk utilizing motion capture technique.

Griffith is my favorite character of all time. He's so freaking complex and just a great original unique character all around. then you have Gatts who is not so somplex and is simple with a great story. Both character are great and polar opposites and too original and realisitc to not like. Then you have have all the amazing more minor characters. Then you have all the fucked up stuff in berserk inbetween.

@Mikkaruchan Awesome. I can't wait!!! I was first introduced to this series by the Dreamcast game, Sword of the Berserk. About a year later my friend told me that the game was based off of an anime that he had, so I watched it all and loved it. These movies are going to be amazing. Thanks for the info!!!

@Tavnugget there IS a right or wrong answer

to sacrifice your friends or not to sacrifice them

its that simple..a question of morality

and obviously griff's is messed up

including the fact right after he attains power he uses it to abuse the weak (raping caska in front of gatt's eyes)

there is no justification and no defense (excuse) for such actions

if u condone such behavior then this argument will become serious becuz human life is a serious matter

but me too lol

I've contemplated it and the only outcome I could ever see was dragging myself to the edge of the hand and throwing myself off... dramatic yes, buuuut either way for me there is no right answer because on one side, I could never take betraying my friends, but I don't think i could accept laying back..

Also don't take this argument to seriously.. It's been rather fun since no one ever talks with me about Berserk. x3

@ArthasXfrost The difference between the two words is simple. Defending is standing up for, and justifying is saying it was okay. Here's a short definition of both;

Defend: To support (an argument, theory, etc.) in the face of criticism.

Justify: To show (an act, claim, statement, etc.) to be just or right.

I haven't justified Griffiths' actions, I've only given explanations as to why he'd do such.

Besides, if Griffith didn't do what he did, there would be no more story to read.

if i remember correctly she even SAID something along the lines of that

that due to griff's condition she needs to care for him since he cared for her, it was like...her duty

so? gatts suffered a lot too and he wudn't have done the same which makes him the better man

@ArthasXfrost He wouldn't have been able to live that life however, since Caska was already in love with Guts and he saw that.

Personally, I don't know what I would have done if I had been in Griffiths' place. I don't think I would have been strong enough to even make it past their first battles, but that's just me.

And no, I'm not justifying it. I'm defending his character.. because despite how cruel he is, he's suffered so much. All of them have. Also I typo-ed Road in the last comment..
