  • That is a great fish! Bet it was a long hard fight... What size tippet did you get it on?

  • It was 4lb Berkley Fluorocarbon from WalMart. It's less expensive and you can get it in 110 yard spools.

  • copper johns are the best flies at the right time of year. caught 10 bows yesterday on a copper john all over 24". the biggest was 32". but still, that is one nice bow!

  • We are pretty sure that this was an Alper's stocker. The Alper's Hatchery stocks throughout the Eastern Sierras. This was caught in the West Walker River, along Hwy 395 south of the town of Walker, CA.
