Hornby 57XX Pannier Tank with Smoke Effect

The first run of my Hornby GWR 0-6-0 PT.

Sadly, it was possibly one of the last locos despatched by TheTriangman (also known as TheNewTriangman) before his untimely death on Friday 4th April 2008.

I feel privileged that he actually said that because it was going to a good home, he'd let me buy it and refurbish it! (Let me say that, from Paul, that was a huge compliment).

I've got one to but how do you set it so smoke come out of the engine?

You have to add Seuthe smoke oil to get the smoke effect. If you've run it a lot without oil, then the heating element might be damaged. Search 'Seuthe' and 'Hornby Spares' on Google to get suppliers for the oil and the spare smoke unit.

Yes, it looks that way doesn't it? :-) What happened was that I made it in a hurry and didn't bother putting all the stuff out. The vid was all to do with the loco and not the layout. (I also saved it using too low a resolution!)

My next one will have everything in it.

oh so when you mean that your layout is fold away i didnt know that you would of had to of taken all of the buildings and stuff out
