I am 30 weeks (aka 7mo) pregnant. I just got out of the hospital 2 days ago. They found a kidney & Bladder infection, and my fevers began there. We caught it early and I was able to start the Tami Flu, the next day I was almost put on a ventilator, and was diagnosed with pneumonia; I meraciously made a turn around. And was only there 5 days. Thank you to everyone at Legacy Hospital in Salmon Creek, WA (maternity Ward) for saving my life and my unborn daughter's life. My family is so grateful!

The US website, VAERS, has published statistics of adverse reactions on ONLY ONE of the swine flu vaccines:
Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine
As of May 7, 2010
11,029 reports
833 classified as "Serious Health Events" -defined as, "life-threatening or death, major disability, abnormal conditions at birth, hospitalization, or extension of existing hospitalization"
56 US deaths
Federal law requires VAERS to report on all 12 of the flu vaccines, yet they report on ONLY this one.

I am pregnant and will not be touching the h1n1 vaccine with a ten foot pole. Look into it before you step into line to get the shot.

i actually spend most of my time at home anyway, so i'd easily be able to avoid people.

until theres more information i would just wait. your probably taking a bigger risk with the vaccine than the flu and you can avoid people the best you can and wash your hands maybe talk to your dr about vitamin d and c.

shit, so then should i get the shot? some people say yes, some say no. i never had to deal with h1n1 the last 3 babies..
If you're pregnant and you're considering taking the shot, please ask your doctor if you can read the package insert first--NOT the "fact sheet" but the actual insert. The insert says this vaccine should NOT be given to pregnant women.
If you want to guard yourself against the swine flu safely and effectively, look into vitamin D. Most people are deficient but those who aren't are very unlikely to get the flu. This is proven; the shot is not. Supplements are available at most pharmacies.
