This spot aired in the San Francisco bay area during 1982. The Commodore VIC-20 was the best selling personal computer in 1982, later that year the Commodore 64 was introduced. These were available at Macy's back when they had an Electronics/TV/Stereo department.
This was also back in the day when Macy's was only in the San Francisco, New York, Kansas City, and Toledo markets before they wiped out all those grand old regional department store names like Bullock's, The Broadway, Marshall Field's, John Wanamaker, Jordan Marsh, Burdines, Rich's, and the likes in the "Great Macycre".
