Here is proof from the sonic retro forum. "You guys can put any issues with the Tech Demo behind for good at this point. It's literally running on obsolete code. The alpha release will be running on a far more optimized version of the engine, thanks in no small part to the feedback you've given us on the TD." So to everyone saying this game sucks and that Sonic 4 is better I agree with dhedarkhcustard you should go do just that. Classic Sonic with Tails and Knuckles, no stupid Shadow/Silver!

is based off the old games physics, but SEGA is too lazy to make a remake.

Also, it is a Tech demo to test the main physics. They released it for bugs and to

see the physics in motion.
