  • slowest march I've seen yet, but I've gotta admit...best rifle handling. Sharp.

  • A lot? You pointed to one thing that is not a mistake. I'll tell you why. Since there is a great degree of difference in the height of the individual members (5'8 to 6'6), the spacing between the feet is not going to be the same for each guy. Each guy has different stability needs for his own body makeup and weight to maintain balance and posture. We teach our guys between 6 and 8 inches. After reviewing the video and looking at your point, our guys are well within their 6 to 8 inches.

  • @evanzarsazproduction Sept 19, 1947

  • @evanzarsazproduction USAF was formed in 1947.

  • @FrankSinatra49 , AF Drill Team has been going strong and steady since 1948.

  • im one of the members of the drill team right now. we have to travel nearly 300 days throughout the year. yes they are bayonets. have to be careful thou when we throw the weapons to each other, or something like a bayonet going thru someones arm, which that just happened not too long ago. any questions about honor guard or the drill team feel free to message me.

  • @lightman225 bayonets...:P

  • i feel so dumb. im on the armed AF JROTC drill team, nd im not even close to being this good. omg, they are great.

  • @DjAntomattei Well it depends on the routine. If you want to see a routine with a quick tempo that will blow you away, I would suggest the King's Guard of Hawaii as an example. But in the end, it simply boils down to the routine itself and the disciplines that are the focus of those drills. Some require a slow tempo, and others are of a more quick step. In the end, however, all are an homage to the discipline of our troops as I know you are emphasizing...and I completely agree with you.

  • @jabbadu431 Well sorry for questioning your general knowledge about the military, I can’t expect everybody to know every detail about every aspect of the DoD. Just trying to call to attention though the way the drill teams/honor guard do business. It is usually a slow tempo throughout from beginning to end. You can’t expect them to do this routine with great haste. That would look so stupid and unprofessional it would undo the whole show!

  • @DjAntomattei My comment was a simple observation of this particular drill on its face and not a failure to appreciate any depth of meaning nor a comparison of its discipline to other drills as you seem to have assumed here. Calling into question my total knowledge of military drills is a bit of a leap after making that assumption, is it not? Observe the drill team members slapping their rifle on exit and read about the discipline of SAC bomber crews and their precision of taking to the air.

  • @jabbadu431 *Cough* I know your comment is from two years ago but I’m still going to fault you for not knowing. You know the march is intentionally slow right? What do you know about military drills young gun?
