Hi,
Nice works.
Can You make and show us tutorials, how to made leafs with rain interaction ?
Thanks

Oh, wow, thanks for that tip! I imagine it must be hard on your hardware to render the textures in real time, but I'm sure it's worth it!

Nice can u do tut?

That was the best plant I ever seen in blender. Perfect job.

Well done!
If you don't mind me asking..
How many triangle is that per plant?
Are the leafs a flat planar surface, or a 3D box-like/ do the leafs have a volume, if not, do you bother texturing/mapping the underside of the leafs or do you just let the one top texture and maps do the job for both?

The leafs are simple planes subdivided 1 time and cut 1 or 2 times , There is no volume, and yes its 1 texture for color and 1 for normal doing the job for both sides of the leaf. I hope i could help you and thank you for the comment.

it sure looks realistic, pretty much like the crysis plants. but how do you get the textures while you are still able to move around like editing and not as a render?
Thompsongast 2 years ago
Its rendered in real time with glsl materials in textured mode in the Viewport shading !

ehm.. ok, i'm not very good with blender, i just started, but is that only available with making games or also with normal simple models for like an animation or something? if it is, can you please explain how to enable it?
Thompsongast 2 years ago
Of course you can use this methods for an animation witch is prerendered but the options with the alpha and normal maps are a bit different.Search for some tutorials about textures and normal maps on youtube and you will find the informations that you want ! Keep blending ;D
