Selena walked down the hall nearly coughing all the way there.
"Hey." Nate whispered, slightly smiling.
"Hey." She whispered back.
"You OK Baby?" Nate asked taking Selenas hair and tucking behind her ear. "You feel warm." He added touching her forehead.
"Um... I dont feel good Nate, I just wanna sleep." Selena complained.
"Here, lets first take care of your cough..." Nate reached into his pocket and pulled out a red wrapped hard drop. Selena looked at it as if it was a drug and put it back in his hand. "Its not what you think it is, its a cough drop," Nate pulled the bag of Equate Cherry flavored drops out of his inside jacket pocket.
Selena took back the drop and popped in her mouth. "Why do you have a bag of cough drops with you?" she asked sucking on the drop.
"I like the taste... I suck on them during class.."
"Youre so weird... but Im glad you had these, that cough was gonna take over and kill me!"
"Youre welcome. Selena why dont you just go to the nurse? Im pretty sure shed send you home, you feel a hot."
"Because the day is almost over, I mean I can survive two more periods right?" Selena questioned as she lay her head down on Nates shoulder.
"I dont know, you dont look well." Nate persuaded. "Well, if I dont see you tomorrow, then I know where youll be... get well Selena."
Selena slowly lifted her head up, "Hm.. Thanks. See you later Nate." Selena gradually stood up and dragged herself into the hectic cafe.
"Hey, where have you been?" Demi asked as Selena sat down straightening her pile of books.
"I... was at the... Nurse." Selena laid her head down on top of her books.
"No you werent... you were talking with Nate werent you?!" Demi smiled evilly.
"OK, fine, we have a special meet time at lunch OK?" Selena answered her eyes drooping with every word.
"Selena go to the nurse!!!" Joe pleaded.
"See Joe even agrees with me, go to the nurse!" Demi whined.
"OK! I'll go next period." Selena mumbled closing her eyes for five seconds before the bell rang.
