I disagree with him on certain issues, but he is undoubtedly a great man. I am angry however that my high school made Mountains Beyond Mountains a mandatory summer read. It was a good book, but the choice was obviously politically influenced.

I love nonfiction. You can read the book, go, this guy is so amazing, and you can go and research more and watch videos, etc etc!

I read mountains beyond mountains. I wish I had half the initiative that he does. Of course, part of the books message is that whatever my abilities, I should strive to make the world better. Its an exhausting yet uplifting message

Paul Farmer is what all human beings should strive to be, a true humanitarian
Hey BigPurple121,
How are you? If you get the chance, read Mountains Beyond Mountains (a book about Paul Farmer) or Pathologies of Power a book by Paul Farmer. To put it mildly, he is a very cool guy. You might change your mind about him and you might even want to get involved in some sort of human rights activism.
