Dr Andrea Sella of the chemistry department at University College London explains why things appear white to us and shows us the whitest material in the world.
titanium dioxide isn't nearly as white as people's fake white teeth these days. When teeth greet me 5 minutes before the person they're attached to do, it's damn scary. Enough with the laser blasting of the "pearlies" I mean pearlies don't cut it anymore. Enough with the titanium whites. I'd much rather look at someone's eyes when I'm in a conversation than their mouth and their blinding teeth that make snow look yellow drab and putrid. I'm tired. I don't usually go on so. Cheers.
Dr. Sella, you're an absolute genius!
