"The Morning Announcements" was a live TV program that was produced daily by students at Bedford High School in Massachusetts. Classrooms were equipped with television sets to receive the show via a closed-circuit distribution system. The studio was built by students during a summer vacation.

Although the relatively high cost of videotape in the 1970s meant that daily telecasts were rarely saved, a few excerpts have managed to survive.

  • I envy that high school! The one I went to that did a "announcement" program seen during study hall time in the middle of the day was pretty cheaply produced and not as interesting as this.

  • This is sooooo excellent!!! You guys are awesome. And Roy is so predictable.

  • YAY!!!!! TV's John Rennie!!!!!!
