I can't get this to work. I've downloaded everything you say and followed the instruction exactly and it freezes at "checking if rooted". Any help would be appreciated.

@PUNKem733 if you are going to stay with the stock rom then no. But you can try and update the rom & then root it

i just bought my infuse yesterday, i was an iphone user for 4+ years. anyway, since i have all my contacts and apps and what not already on the infuse, do i have to back all that stuff up to do this root? or does it just run over the top and doesnt mess with anything? i dont want it to wipe everything. please lemme know.

@rhassard278411 No rooting the phone does not mess anything up but also do a back up when you do anything like this!!!! But as you see from the video it goes very smooth with no problems and no back up! let me know how it goes!
