Fett was introduced in the horrible Star Wars holiday special. If that doesn't reduce his coolness factor, nothing will. Just look it up; the Holiday Special should be on YouTube, as Lucas refuses to defend it. Yes, the man who gave us the Ewoks and Jar-Jar won't defend this horrible piece of crap. A large part of it involves an advertisement for a radio kit and a dirty grandpa wookie watching some weird porn. That was 70s culture for you...

I just watched Star Wars this week (I know, I know, slowpoke.jpg). But this clip really shows how strange it is that fett is such a beloved character. I mean all he does prior to this is be a pretty ok bounty hunter.

@dickjpaige Fett should of crashed on top of the sail barge.Then later when Luke was aboard he arose out of the smoke and opened fire on luke who repelled his blasts knocking the gun out of Fett's hand. Fett then fired his rocket launcher, it missed Luke but forced him to drop his saber. The two then struggle with Luke holding him off before finally kicking him away, summoning his saber to his hand and slicing Fett twice damaging the electrical equipment on his suit (killing him?)
