  • what gears are ya running to get those front wheels off the ground? Nice 442

  • 4.30's in that video, with our new set up we picked up some rpm so will be switching to 4.11's. Leaving the line at 1800 off the footbrake.

  • I want to pick up my front wheels!!

    I run a 13.6 with my 70 442 conv, with 455/TH400 with 2:73 gears...yes 2:73

I have a 4:11 to put in for fun. will I need slicks? I have vidoes of turkey rod Run etc. posted under "club442"

  • Slicks or a nice set of radials are the biggest help. Suspension helps before the mini tub was put in it ran best 10.72 with a different motor, stock type suspension with 10.5's, best sixty was 1.40, now best has been 1.37.

  • need a parachute!

  • I drove a 1970 nugget gold W-30 in high school. It was the family car. Wanted a hemi-cuda but the parents said no because the cuda could not have A/C. The car had all options except the clock - Mom said they always broke. Ordered it from Zalud Olds in Shaker Hts Ohio with 3.91 gears even though the brochure said 3.23 only with the A/C option. The salesman said no way but I insisted he turn in the order with 3.91. The factory called the house after 1st talking to the dealer. They wouldn't do it!

  • hii. i'm a 17 year old female from deep south TX. i have a passion for Oldsmobile but i honestly don't know much, at least not as much as i would prefer. i just started drag racing my daddy's 72 Hurst Olds clone and I've been going off by what he says. But i'm looking to out do him. :D do you have any tips?

  • My dream car 4sure! Just incredible!!

  • I remember trying up to a 4.66 gear but found the the best was 4.11 to 3.90 top end was incredible, Waibel competition did all of my machine work in the old days, that is Terry Schafer, he was the best! All the old greats like Jerry Dover Sr and Jr, Jim Waibel, Buck Jednek, Buddy Ingersol all the olds guys used Waibel for their machining. Today there are alot of advances in building an olds 455, back then I had a 510 cu big block and I cant wait to get my new one ready.

  • I used to run 11.00 at 132mph with my 70 442 back in the late 70s I had a 4;33 posi with no hop bars, air bags and 80/20 shocks in the front and 40/60 in the rear and I ran 13inch firestones and later 14 M&H slicks my 60ft times were terrible 2.0 and 1.89 my time came from the half to finish and those times were as quick as some of my buddies running in the high 9s. Just couldnt hook up back then, I am starting on a new project car today and I already put the block in the machine shop.

  • i want one for my first car sooo bad. kick all the srry ass asian cars asses at high school.

  • GOD DAMN!!!!
