F8 Attendee Map

I was commissioned by LUMENS to create a map plotting the home locations of all the attendees of the 2011 Facebook Developer Conference held on September 22nd. I had one week after receiving the data to begin analyzing the content and figuring out interesting ways of displaying it. The map is broken down into three modes: attendees introduced by their user ID (from oldest users to newest), attendees introduced by their age (from youngest to oldest), and attendees color coded by gender and introduced by user ID (again, oldest to newest). The map animates through the three modes at the global level, north america, and europe.
