Fairview Park 2011 Council Candidates - Part 1 (Contested Candidates)

On Oct. 6, 2011, the Fairview Park chapter of the League of Women Voters hosted a candidates forum at Fairview Park City Hall. Susan Jankite of the League of Women Voters moderated the forum, which included statements by the candidates and questions submitted by members of the audience.

Candidates for City Council participated in the forum. Part 1 is opening statements by candidates running in contested races (those for seats representing Wards 1, 2 and 3). Part 2 is opening statements by candidates seeking re-election without opposition. Part 3 is all candidates responding to questions submitted by audience members.

Sitting from left to right are Ward 1 candidates Brian McDonough and Nathan Studeny, Ward 2 candidates Bill Minek (incumbent) and Dennis Rehor, Ward 3 candidates Dan Jones and Paul Wojnar, Council President Mike Kilbane, At-large Councilwoman Peggy Cleary, Ward 5 Councilman Pete Matia and Ward 4 Councilman John Hinkel.
