Some weird "slavonic metal" stuff from Russia. This song comes from the band's first EP, "Otchizna". The band is also known as "Northern Gates"

The stock-shots are taken from the 1938 movie "Aleksandr Nevskiy" (which is also the nickname of the vocalist) by Sergei Eisenstein.

An attempt to translate the lyrics in english. Fell free to suggest any corrections :)

Notes : Kruchina ans Svarog are slavic gods (respectively the goddess of sorrow and the god of the sun and fire)
Trizna is a funeral ceremony
Iriy is the paradise

Heya, I was wondering if someone could help me with the translation of the song titles for their album "На Bойну". I can't find what "Чернород" (the first song) means. Is it a name for some region or person?

Btw I have lots of doubts about bands using cyrillic alphabet when translating their song titles. If anyone has some free time and likes translating stuff I will be eternaly in debt with you should you help me.

Basicaly, "Чернород" designates in this song the stranger, the foreigner.
