Super Mario World Hack: Basic Land: Part 1

I think I'll move onto something else that is just as fun as Gradius, though a bit more relaxed. I'm going to do some Super Mario World Hacks, starting with a demo.

Basic Land is a 7-level demo (not including the Yoshi's House level), though only 6 are complete. It has some interesting graphics and the overworld is different (the bigger overworld, though, is pretty ugly), but it's mainly the same. It also has some custom sprites and backgrounds. The difficulty is just about right, though the later levels are a tad hard. It's a pretty good demo hack that can entertain you for about a good 10-20 min (unless you end up struggling on some of the later levels), but look elsewhere if you want a longer hack (basically, don't do demos if you want full games). Otherwise, this might be worth a small amount of your time. This will be 3 parts.

Recommend or not recommend this hack? I recommend for quick games, but not for something addicting.

Thos platforms in the second level make me think of the ones in An SMWC Production in Galactic Glacier lol

In that first level, it seems to me all you have to reach that first Mario-faced coin is do a high bounce off a Koopa Troopa and land on the right edge of the platform next to it. You can maybe even lure a Chargin' Chuck over to that spot and stomp it just as it jumps close to the platform to get a higher boost.

@lakulo27 It's 50. I got it a few times. The only thing that was changed were graphics and the level design. 30 is the highest you can get when the tape is not at the very tip.
