    Many thanks for your constructive criticism 637lab. Pathetic & Weak I often feel but small!!!! However i'd rather you commented on the sum total of my lifting over the past few years than one small set from a long time ago. Each training set has to be taken in conetext with it's position in a training cycle. Even so, for someone who is 100% clean, raw and well into his 50's, i'm not too dissapointed with how my lifting has been going.

  • Look man, sorry to be harsh, but it just amazes me how anyone could post a video entitled 'half squats' and not expect to get ripped for it by people who know what they're doing. I'm sure your a nice guy, but that dont cut it when your doing half squats!

  • You suggest that I do not know what I am doing? Perhaps you should check out some British powerlifting results pages, or my log on Sugden, or PowerliftingUK. Or check out some of my competition lifts on Youtube. It's so easy to criticise other peoples training sessions though.

  • @farmlifter i completly agree with you! this is just a training session focussing on the top half of the squat, its a great lift with great form, the new zealand rugby team use the half squat as well and just because he's doing a half squat here doesnt mean he doesnt do full squats. surely if anything this proves that he squats DEEP by the fact he has entitled this 'half squats' jesus fataslin give the guy a break

  • @abigsmallman not to mention half of olympic sprinters and the russian olympic team who focus just as much on half squats as full squats.

  • Half squats are a brilliant way to strengthen up your quads and glutes. Full squats are brilliant too but your basically working the whole leg with full squats and as quads for example are bigger than hamstrings you won't get the whole benefit from just performing full squats on a lighter weight. You can really pumble the weight on with half squats and it's a great way to train if you haven't got a training partner, you could add full squats into your routine aswell as half squats.

  • I love old school training. Some of today's Powerlifters just have no clue of what it takes to have a big squat without having the latest greatest tight squat suit. They should try squatting in an old Marathon suit, because it's like doing wearing a wresting singlet. Thanks for the video!

  • So many people commenting are dumb as ****. Honestly it's clear that he knows what he is talking about. Training different portions of the squat helps with sticking points.
