This week's Please Note features Debbie McCarthy, Executive Director of the Augustine Literacy Project, which trains tutors who then work one-on-one with low income, at risk children and teens in the areas of reading, writing, and spelling. The project recently received a $100,000 grant from the Jessie Ball duPont fund, which will help the project expand, train more tutors, and give the gift of literacy to even more youth within the diocese.
