Excellent anime. It's experimental in its approach, and it does shy away from the traditional anime standards. Part Alice in Wonderland, part Tim Burton, and part Miyazaki, it has a refreshing interpretation of witches and its whimsical magical world, while immersing the viewers into the themes, plots, and characterizations of the overarching story. Highly recommended for those unafraid to get their feet wet.

This video was the first time I heard of this series. It appears Studio 4°C (which recently did Tekkonkinkreet) is behind it and they have yet to disappoint me with anything I've seen of theirs so far.

Media Blasters appears to already have licensing rights for a sometime-in-2008 North American DVD release.

Looks great. I also haven't seen it, but from the looks of it. The art design AND animation is by far better than most anime series available. Looks like a definite buy for me.
