Peter Norman's time is still an Australian record and would have won him gold in Sydney.

Just read about Peter Norman- what a hero. And the way he was treated for his stand was an absolute disgrace. And for not sending him to the 1972 Olympics, those involved should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. He was only making a stand for what needed to be said. Quite ironic when noticing how the Olympic authorites have dicated to China with this Olympics!

It's kind of ridiculous how much the announcer is focusing on Norman.

I remembered Tommie Smith's unbelievable run as a 10 year old. The ceremony went over my head until I learnt about it as an early teen.
It's with great embarrassment that I have to admit that I only researched Peter a few years before his sad passing. I was heavily involved in the sport as a sprinter in my youth in Britain and now I want to share this great work from Matt with my daughter who like Peter is Green and Gold. Congrats on your brilliant project.
