When installing bamboo flooring against a wall, you'll need another piece of equipment - the pull bar. Matt from www.BuildDirect.com explains how to use it here.

  • Well, it's a bit of a crazy story. We tested our laminate flooring by installing it where you shouldn't - outside! What's under the flooring, besides underlay? Pavers! Yes, pavers. The flooring was out there for about a month, and actually held up pretty well. We've made a whole series of the operation, which I can't seem to refer to here, called 'watch us wreck a floor'.

  • Kind of interesting.. I bet if it was exposed to water sitting on it for long periods of time.. It would be worst. I didn't watch the video tho.

  • Yeah...we thought it would turn to mush in days but it actually sat out there for weeks and still stood up. I wouldn't recommend letting water sit on the floor in your house or installing it in a bathroom but I was quite surprised at how far laminate has come in the last few years in terms of durability.

  • what's under the flooring?

  • Concrete slabs and a 3 in 1 laminate flooring underlay
