1969 Mercury Cyclone CJ

Practically impossible to capture in pictures, this is a real one of a kind collectible.

According to the seller, of the 117,421 1969 Montegos and Cyclones...
6,968 were Cyclone Fastbacks,
260 were built with 428-4v CJ engine,
152 came with automatic transmission,
14 of those had 428 Super Cobra Jet engines,
1 of them was painted in white,
and this is that Cyclone. vin number 9H15R607753.

I dont think there was only 1 ,, my dad had a 69 cyclone cobra, and it Was white, but the red stripe on his ran along the bottom of the car, he traded a 65 plymoth furyIII sport coupe in for it,,I was so pissed I loved that fury, this was back in 1972 he drove that car til he died in 74 I never saw the car again

i am sure there were more than one white car.the one i previously wrote about was purchased by an attorney here.i think he still has it in his collection.

I think you guys may be missing the fact it's a "SCJ428" not a "CJ428"...two totally different rotating assemblies.

Actually they built 1,693 R code Cyclone CJs and I would find his claim of it being the only white one highly dubious. It may be the only one with cig.lighter delete or something on that order.

@sampson1959 dude, that is the most common color of the cyclone. Dont know why they would say only 1 was made that year that was white with a cj428. Ive seen plenty of factory originals that are cjs and white. shit mine on my channel is white!

Sorry, but the "seller" is wrong. That is the most common color of the cyclone. ALL of that year were fastbacks. Ive seen over 10 in real life that were factory original cj428's and white.

if this is true,i had a chance to buy this car from graham ford in 1976.900.00 price and i turned it down!1969 mercury cyclone ,428,white.it had a small patch repair on the left rear quarter by the wheel well.i opted for the 1970 torino cobra,green with a 428 4 speed.i made payments on it while i worked there.they sold it out from under me.i had 200.00 left to go.tried to get me into the cyclone but i was angry and turned it down.what a fool i was!

my brother-in-law had a cyclone 428 cj and it was white, my sister drove it every day as a family car but on the weekend it was race time! and it would fly! sure wish it was still around.
