MORE POWER, OF COURSE
We've redesigned the hammers for a 20% increase in impacting inertia and a 12% increase in overall torque to a blistering 450 ft. lbs.
NEW MOTOR DESIGN
The new motor uses Rare Earth neodymium magnets, allowing it to generate more power and torque output with less motor drain, resulting in longer run time. The new motor also generates less heat, and in combination with an improved heat sink, ensures a cooler running, longer lasting tool.
IMPROVED ERGONOMICS
Over a ½ lb. lighter than the CT6850 and far more compact. Also features a new built-in brake and 1W LED light. New design features black touch points so grease and grime won't show. It all adds up to make a tech's job easier than ever.
INCREASED DURABILITY
New screened housing design prevents debris from entering the tool through air vents. Anvil and hammer have been upgraded to 4300 series alloy steel, which offers six times more life than the 8600 series steel on the 4850 and 6850 series.
Just bought one today, seems a little stronger than my old CT 6850, but with the addition of the light and brake i would defiantly get this over it. the trigger can feel weird but i can live with it. the light is much brighter than the 14.4V 3/8 impact. paid $700 with tax and got a flip over socket set and not a light like others

@MrRodknocker - Buy a Hilti. You get a 2 year warranty on the tool, batteries and charger and will pay less for a better product and after the 2 years they will give you a cost to fix your tool before you pay a dime.

I had my CT6850 1yr 3mo. It lost all of its power. After paying $569 to buy it, now they are making me pay another $100 flat rate fee to repair when its just 3months out of warranty. I have been a life long loyal snap on customer, but after being treated like this, I'm done with them.

I just got my CT7850 Friday. I was able to trade in my CT6850 and only lost 25 bucks on its original price. So far I really like the 7850, my only complaint is the Trigger. Sometimes it feels weird. Different from the 6850 but so far so good, The LED on the front is really bright and the included Flashlight that mounts to the 2nd battery is pretty nice.

@foxdmulder I don't know about any 4850, but there was the CT4450, then the CT6850 & now the CT7850.
All are1/2" cordless impact wrenches.
