The foreign ministers held talks in the Japanese city of Kyoto. Japanese officials said the discussions focused primarily on Afghanistan, climate change, food and oil prices and the delivery of a declaration by the DPRK on the status of its contentious nuclear programme.
The 2-day talks which end Friday are designed to lay the groundwork for the G8's annual summit, to be held next month.
