The Story of our American Eskimos

A dedication to our two eskies Saja and Shinji (yes korean names). Basically this is a timeline of their life up until now. We adopted them fro a breeder in MO, Cloud Walker Kennels in 2007. They will soon be turning 2 in about a month and a half. Some of the videos inputed are from when they were at the breeder before adoption. I hope you enjoy and leave comments ^_^

I have an Eskie, I wanted to know after you got your two shaved did the fur come back heavier. I have to brush Carlee all the time I want to get her shaved but I am afraid that she will end of growing even more fur than she has now. By the way your two are beautiful, NO they do not look like they come from a puppy mill don't listen to assholes on the net!!!!

@carleeangel04 Thank you! Yes whenever we shave ours, their fur always comes back a bit more thicker (that's why we usually shave them regulary b/c the shedding gets annoying). Then when it gets ratty again we shave them down especially during summer when it gets really hot. But we learned our lesson the first time not to shave them down too much. If you shave them down just enough for them to still be fluffy, they'll look really cute :)

@lilypotterluvr it's not, the lady we bought them from is a legitimate breeder and even runs an eskie rescue from puppy mills. I would never buy from puppy mills, I think those places are cruel to animals.

I miss my American Eskimo soo much! I had to click on some videos and see some more. I love that they smile, and how, when they get caught or yelled at, they pull back their ears so far they look as pitiful as they're trying to look. I'd forgotten how much Sadie looked like a drowned rat after baths, and then she'd fluff back up again and go tearing around the house like a puppy. Oh, nostalgia. If I can ever buy a purebred dog, it will definately be an Eskie. Or two, like Saja and Shinji.
