the real trick is to not get bothered by kiss ass employees and the managers that buy into it. It would be nice to recognize true work ethics in employees then recongnize them for it. Sad to say though...Kiss ass employees move ahead even faster then an employee that works hard but doesnt play the trumpet.

I worked at my Job for 3 years, and I have these new hires telling me how to do my Job their way, and if I don't do it their way... they tell on me, and kiss up to Management sucking his butthole. -_-

I don't play this Office Politics bullshit...I do my work, and I go home with my real friends and family. I really need a new Job!

Unless your one of the "GOOD OLE BOYS" what you say or do has no profound effect in the workforce. I hate politics like most but unless you play the game smart your sunk. Remember, its never about you, its about them.

For example, some people that do not have a college degree will feel threatened towards people with a college degree (B.S. and higher). It is the same scenario where someone would scratch / key a nice car or a car that's better than theirs for no reason at all except to satisfy their INSECURITY / JEALOUSY / INFERIOR COMPLEX / CHARACTER FLAW, etc.

"understand what their insecurities are, what's driving them, and then you're able to create a win win situation for them and you?" WON'T WORK, TRIED IT! People that are insecure does not like you and feel threatened / jealous / afraid / hate you, etc. because they are INSECURE. It is their own character flaw that needs to be healed not I. Its easy to lecture when your own job is working out fine. Let me see you when 8 out of 10 colleagues do not want to acknowledge you because you look, behave and work better than them, and the boss does nothing about it except telling you that you dont put along with people well.

You anyway lost your own point. "Acknowledge other people's help". Fine, but the question is is what to do when other people don't acknowledge our help? You have to answer that, not what we all know. Happy lecturing
