I love this version, because when i was kid i was most impressed by the fact that Magnum could dunk. It was cool that he drove a Ferrari, and shot at people, and lived in a Mansion, and had friends with Helicopters, and banged hot chicks, and went by the name MAGNUM, and did all this in Hawaii!!! Now i realize that dunking was just part of Magnum's repertoire.

Magnum is one of the best shows in tv history I grew up watching it and still do today I wish there was a show being made now that was as cool as magnun pi

@donerlich LA Law was a good show. The thing is the two are very different show types, Magnum is like an action series, LA Law is obviously a legal drama, people who like one aren't necessarily going to like the other. So to that end the choice of replacement wasn't the wisest perhaps.

Man, I remember when L.A. Law took over from Magnum on Saturday nights...I almost died. Was only 8 or 9 , couldn't understand why the cool guy had been replaced by boring, lame guys in suits lol! Pretty much sums up the whole transition from 80's-90's in a nutshell I guess ;)
