Dr. Bill Johnson of Innovations Medspa helps us understand when Fraxel Restore is the correct procedure. Dr. Johnson is the first physician in the DFW Metroplex to have the newest 2009 generation Fraxel Re:Store technology. In the past, laser resurfacing meant long recovery periods and pain, for good results. Today, new technologies allow physicians to treat the same skin faster, with very little downtime, and minimal pain.

In 2001, a team of Fraxel engineers, researchers and scientists pioneered a laser skin science called fractional photothermolysis. This approach to skin resurfacing, when combined with Fraxels advanced technological intelligence or SmartXide Dot Therapy, delivers efficacy and safety. For patients, that means remarkable results and minimal downtime which simply didnt exist before Fraxel.

Fraxel: The No-Downtime Procedure

Fraxel Re:Store treats microscopic volumes of skin with each unique pulse, leaving the surrounding area intact for fast healing. Innovations Medspa can constantly change the settings on the machine to allow for more treatment coverage. This ability allows us to treat specific skin problems individually.

Collagen Denaturing and Skin Resurfacing

Fraxel Re:store results in both facial resurfacing and pigmentation reduction, as well as collagen denaturing to depths of 1.6 mm. The skin heals much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, because instead of the skin healing from the bottom up (as in traditional laser resurfacing procedures) the skin heals from the outside of the dot inward. This healing type allows Fraxel and SmartXide Dot to have great results without a month of peeling and downtime.

Innovations Medspa uses Fraxel Re:Store on and off the face, including areas like the neck, chest, abdomen, thighs, arms, and hands.
