Christopher Eccleston played Steven Baxter, the son of god, in the ITV two-part 'The Second Coming'. This is probably the best sequence in the film and a great delivery from Eccleston.

  • Strange, this was written by Russell T Davies (Former head writer of Doctor Who), the music was done by Murray Gold (The current composer for Doctor Who), and stars Christopher Eccleston (The Ninth Doctor). And yet it was made for ITV. That is strange.

  • @DoctorStu27 It was made in 2003, before the relaunch of Dr Who happened: they must have all enjoyed working on this project and kept in contact!

  • silly.

  • The keep thinking this is like the scene with the 11th Doctor at Stonehenge, except its the 9th Doctor talking about religion

  • @almatric Lol. No, not just you. That is exactly what i thought also.

  • Did anybody else hear him say, "You stupid, stupid..." and expect the next word out of him mouth to be 'apes'?

    Just me? Damn.

  • Y'know its weird, all the Christian artistic and whatever interpretations, even though this film had an atheist moral to it I always find this the best imagining of christ to date though hes a bit less loving here
