Was Al Kooper thrown out from this great band for David boom boom Clayton. I hated that move .. BS&T first record was right on time.
-
@wallymeldrum no it wasnt on projections it was on live at town hall which was actually a compilation of 2 concerts they did in the same day witht 2 sets of equipment town hall and hunter college with murry the k as MC
-
@Stacela They pushed him out of the group murry the k used to play this song
-
@RandomFlashFilms No, this song by a long shot is best. The Shadows of Knight - Oh Yeah would be 2nd best on Nuggets
-
Best song on Nuggets.
Either that or "My World Fell Down".
-
One of my favorites from the memorable Nuggets era. Hopefully a live performance of the band performing this song from back in the day surfaces here soon.

@saltwaterebel And the same Al Kooper that discovered and lobbied for release of The Zombies' Odessey and Oracle! Yes, a very influential person in music history, in many ways.
-
@saltwaterebel yeah, the same one .... one of the most under-appreciated muscians of the past 50 years ...
-
which album of theirs was this track on?
i got it, i'd just like to know what album it was on. discogs says "Projections" was their debut album, but it sounds too clean. I want the raw side of blues project.
I got the nuggets comp with this track.

Actually one place sold ice cream and friends worked there it was only going to the park that you found untrustworthy people if not trippers.
Al Kooper sings really good, especially in this song.

Al was an under-appreciated talent.

Too bad he only made one album with Blood, Sweat and Tears. I never realized he was the same guy that sang both this song and I Can't Quit her.
