  • @p1q0 I guess those two players played for almost 20 years? lol.

  • @p1q0

None of those players played in this game. Marshall was a upcoming powerhouse, until mark snyder took over the program, he drove it in the ground, and now Doc is trying to revive it. Marshall is still a well known brand, and when it starts winning again, it will be right back up there.

  • It's a little misleading to say Marshall is on the decline. They somehow lucked into a good pro quarterback and one of the best wide receivers of all time. They haven't been lucky since then.

  • Those final four downs were the worst play calling I've ever seen. You have the ball on the 2 yard line with 25 seconds left and no time outs. Why not start trying to throw to the endzone immediately? That way you get 3 or 4 chances. Instead they call a run up the middle, which if it fails kills most of your clock and costs 2 downs because you have to spike it. Then a pass to the sidelines? Why not pass to the endzone and then one more? The last play they called should have been the first.

  • Snyder was able to rally his troops by the end of the year, though, beating us badly, and then smacking the Sooners. What a strange season.

  • @Miller434

It's the absence of players like Moss, Pennington, and Leftwich

  • hey was that doofus josh freeman on the team back then. i'm thinking not.

  • Marshall has now scheduled itself 5 bowl teams instead of 7. This year's schedule works tremendously in our favor.

  • Bernard Morris was a great athlete, but not a good qb. I just keep thinking he was going to break out, but it never happened.

Why do we play V Tech and WVU the same year? We are just begging for the losses. We need to playone or the other, if you ask me

  • ya, now i appreciate stan hill, he wasnt chad or byron but he was definitly better than morris or anyone currently..and i miss bradshaw but luckily he is doing great in nyc..i remember around 2003 we went something like 8-4 and i thought that was bad, now i will give anything to revisit those days
