  • Red Ingle sang and played tenor sax with the sometimes whimiscal big band of Ted Weems befoire he perfected his novelty vocalizing during his run with Spike Jones. After that he scored five hits in 1947-8 for Capitol: "Tim-Tay-Shun," "Them Durn Fool Things," "Nowhere," "Cigareets, Whusky and Wild, Wild Women" and "Serutan Yob" -- all paroides of other songs. "Seventy Mental Reasons" is his parody of Nat "King" Cole's 1946 #1 hit "(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons."

  • LOL Can't get over that title!

  • Tedder's quite a firecracker! Thanks for sharing this great gem!
