***JAIL TIME *** Judge Kevin Chason finds Chair Henry Cook and Supt Bobby Jenkins guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt, of "willful criminal contempt" of his order of June 16. The order directed that any member of the Randolph County BOE has the right to include items on the agenda. Also, any ruling by the Chair may be appealed by a board member, and a vote of the majority prevails. The Judge noted that board members had requested that items be added to the June 30 agenda, and Jenkins did not do that. Cook did not allow an appeal to his decision not to allow the additions. Both were sentenced to serve four days at the Randolph County Jail, to report on August 10 at 8am. A bench warrant will be issued if they fail to appear. The June 30 meeting is in two segments on youtube. Attorney Maurice Luther King made motions after the ruling, which are posted on youtube. The hearing itself is almost five hours long; segments will be posted within days.
