I've been taking 6,000-8,000 IU of Vit. D a day. It's fine you guys. I feel great. Pretty much everyone in the US is low on Vitamin D and it's being so incredibly downplayed it's ridiculous.

Vitamin D cured my wife's Lupus. It also helps with my son's asthma.

Buy some cheap Vitamin D capsules. The amount we can get from food is inadequate. Take 5000iu per day, every day. Go to the Vitamin D Council website for more info.

Joe, go on the Vitamin D Council's website. Then go their facebook page from there and ask your questions. You will find people on there who can give you the links to study's. They are very knowledgeable and articulate. They are also friendly and helpful.

Yes, but I'm fairly sire that the Vitamin D doctors (Cannell, Hollick, Mercola) are not keen on the 600,000 iu shots.

ABSOLUTELY ! Especially if you took probiotics a few hours before you took vitamin D with your fattiest meal of the day. I told an otherwise healthy friend that causght the flu to take 10,000 iu morning and evening for five days. I called him to see how he was doing onn that dosage and he told me he has more energy than before he was sick and the vitamin D doses got rid of the flu quickly. I have read of 600,000 i. u. injected into muscle for a loading dose to quickly elevate 25(OH)D levels.

A study of 138 subjects suggested a daily dose of 3800 IU for those with adequate blood vitamin D levels, and 5000 IU each day for those who are vitamin D deficient.

The current recommended intakes for vitamin D are as low as 200 IU daily for those aged 19-50, and go only as high as 600 IU daily for those over the age of 70.
