I feel sorry for those who look upon their police department as an occupying army.

For me, scenes like this are the reason I can walk out of my house without fear, even at 2 in the morning.

And for the next two months, that's going to be even more important. Summer seems to bring out the wackos.

  • Why did they call for a paddy wagon? Don't the squad cars have cages in them? Please let me know thank you

  • Not all Chicago squad cars have cages. And the video doesn't show how confrontational the ones being arrested had gotten. I'm surprised nobody got shot or tased.

That apartment building on the left has been a source of trouble for a long, long time. And the hell of it is, it's owned by a church!

  • Even though the great left wing prophecy hasn't really come true, and "we" don't live in a "police state" (unless of course you go looking for as many police brutality, anti cop videos and use them to generalize so you can make up the world around you however you want), if we did live in a police state, well I'd just like to say that I'd rather live in a police state than a crime state.

But hey I probably don't see it 'cause I don't make it a point to antagonize police.

  • My beef is that when I call 911 to report gang activity and the like, too often, I get lectures from the call-takers about gang members' constitutional rights and "Nazi Germany". On Chicago's south side, it's already Nazi Germany, and gang members are the SS and gang leaders are little Hitlers. And the police don't have to land at Normandy; they're right here, and they're hamstrung in their ability to do their jobs effectively!

Not many left-wingers in high-crime areas, I'm willing to bet.

  • 9th District, headquartered at 35th and Lowe. The new 9th District headquarters at 31st and Halsted is scheduled to open at the end of this year.

I live in Beat 935 East.

  • They do. Just sometimes they call them in to remove a high number of arrested individuals. They brought in a huge bus one friday night around 9 by 12 it was full and the hood was quiet for the most part. Fuck the police, damn pigs.

  • dirty f.ucking bacon. they are an occupying army. there are probably more left wingers in high crime areas, since if the right wing folks lived there you think they would have more of a clue. im sorry to say it but right wing america has their head buried in their ass hole.
