Man, what can I say about this song? Tomas Haake is a machine! Those Swedish drummers know something about rhythm that American drummers don't, but I did my best to bring you this cover of "Stengah" off Meshuggah's 2002 release, "Nothing". Enjoy!

  • Another comment is that the 3:00 part when playing on the hi-hat is 8/8s as well. :]

  • @BenjaminProd I am playing 8ths, every other 4th is ghost noted.

  • B minus. Put all cymbals under 16" in the trash. Thank you.

  • @trippyfish Nope. As a drummer of many genres, I need to be able to compensate.

  • What's your china?

  • @DJHorseOfficial The big one on the right is an 18" Sabian AA, the 2 smaller ones are 12" Sabian AAX mini chinas: the left having a brilliant finish.

  • @ahernan35471 Seen him before, hes not bad. Unfortunately, this is the best sound I'm going to get out of a Sony digital 8 camcorder.

  • @ElementalMark ah yes, I see that now. My bad.

  • Loosen your China!!!):

  • Those cymbals are actually quite excellent. The sound quality on your cam however is not excellent. Well played as well. Btw, I see you do 4/4's on your hi-hat in the beginning, I am fully aware that this is a cover, but Tomas actually taps 8/8's while on the other cymbals for the most part. :)

  • Good job man. Tomas is not easy to replicate.

  • great video, you could have used a filter on those highs, i think i might have lost an ear drum there.

  • Regarding your description... - apart from the fact I really enjoyed this cover... - Swedish Drummers sure, but let's see this Australian drummer (from Synthetich Breed): Daniel Luttick. (can't copy the link, but try him on the world drummer festival 08)

  • Any critics naysaying can suck your flaps. I would love to see their attempt. Good job. :)
